🎯 The Challenge

The client’s existing web app was struggling with poor user engagement, inconsistent workflows, and high drop-off rates during patient onboarding and care coordination tasks. It was primarily used by:

  • Clinic administrators

  • Doctors and care providers

  • Patients managing follow-ups and prescriptions

🎯 Project Goals

  1. Simplify the interface and improve usability for both clinicians and patients

  2. Create an intuitive dashboard for patient records, appointments, and prescriptions

  3. Optimize care team collaboration with real-time task management

  4. Ensure HIPAA-compliant UI design for secure interactions

  5. Design a responsive layout adaptable for tablets and smaller screens

I adopted Design Thinking principles and followed a Mobile-First approach for better responsiveness.

  • Accessible UI following WCAG guidelines for font contrast and readability

It was amazing experience and fun journey to craft whole design and get how vital empathy is in health tech UX. Designing for diverse user types—doctors under time pressure, admins juggling tasks, and patients with varying levels of digital literacy—was a challenge that shaped a better, more human-centered product.
